For the week, probably. Reese has a fairly high fever, Liam’s congested, and I’m popping vitamin C, trying to avoid it. Or at least the worst of it. As I was checking my email this morning, I looked over to find Reese passed out on the couch. Poor kid. Both of them are napping right now. I may take this opportunity to shower. Or not. Hey, if I’m gonna be home all day, it’s my prerogative, right?
The bummer is that I have to stay in on a gorgeous day. The best day of the week. I have lots of cleaning to do (and now, probably some disinfecting), so I’m gonna let the day in. Throw open the windows, shake the sheets, turn on some Hem, make some tea, dust off Flannery O’Connor, and relax. I might even be able to watch a thunderstorm roll in later.

so sorry your kiddos got sick! they look so sad and pathetic laid out there. i just had a slow motion moment of realization that i texted back “perfect!” last night after you said your precious little girl had vomited. hehe. sorry about that.

and the great thing about this picture is that i took it a month ago while they were both lounging on my bed. reese had a little cold but was acting really sweet, holding liam’s hand. i was trying to find a pathetic face, and that was as close as i got! liam’s actually laughing. heh heh.
as a Mom, one on hand it makes me so sad to have sick kiddos, and on the other hand, I love the opportunity to slow down, hold them on the couch, and just ‘be a mom’.
miss you guys.

I sorry! I know how you feel! I’m going to visit the good doctor today (just a follow up visit, but I figure I’d drill her about why I’m still feeling crappy!) Sometime Reese needs to come over and watch Curious George on the big screen! 🙂

i’m pretty sure that chicken rice casserole…..AND chocolate cake!…..mail well. 🙂 it would totally cure what ails us.
and i secretly like it when the kids are sick. playing nurse is gratifying. however, changing the sheets 3x in one day is ridiculous.
evie, no haircuts happened because reese barfed in the car. rescheduled for saturday. we’ll see.
