Can you feel the rumbling coming from the middle of America? Tomorrow is the matchup that Husker football fans have been waiting for all year. #1 USC comes to town. ESPN’s College GameDay is going to broadcast from the stadium. With tickets going upwards of $1000 apiece, we are tossing around the idea of going down to Lincoln to make fools of ourselves in front of the GameDay crew. The atmosphere here is electric. I’ve never been so excited about an almost-certain loss in my life! It’s official: we’ve got the Husker fever. Even Reese, who can now scream “BIG GO RED!”, “NEBRAKASS!” and “GO HUCKERS!” Close enough.

i know! it’s terrible! she also calls her cousin, Jackson, “jackass”. so bad! (but good for laughs!)

UPDATE: the USC team was spotted practicing at Westside High here in Omaha today…they are spending the night here in town and renting out a restaurant in the suburbs for dinner tonight. dangerous. i smell an ambush…

  3. steve and randel hambrick says:

so are you going?? i have to say steve and i are impressed by the crowd in the stadium 10 hours before game time— we are watching it all on ESPN

  4. Dara says:

oh man – that is hilarious…

  5. lindsay says:

we didn’t end up going – too cold, and we all had colds. the huskers got spanked, it was embarrassing. we didn’t even bring our “A” game.

we were, however, rooting for a Texas upset – UCF was so close! s&r, did you go to the game? now THAT woulda been a good ‘un.
